- Don’t be discouraged if proposal is not funded; it usually takes 2—3 submissions to get awarded!
- Rejections aren’t necessarily a judgement on the work—there are many factors (geographic distribution, for one) that go into funding decisions.
- Ask for feedback, reviewers’ comments, discussion with program officer—then try again!
- Peer review panel: volunteer for this when you can!
